Top 5 game series for Xbox

5:     Number 5 on my list is the Fallout series. Fallout originated on the computer and only has 2 games on Xbox, but there is no denying that the series has a huge following on Xbox. Fallout 3 is made by Bethesda and Fallout: New Vegas is made by obsidian, and those 2 companies are basically 2 divisions of the same company.

4:     Number 4 on my list is the Elder Scrolls series. Elder Scrolls, made by Bethesda and obsidian. Just like Fallout, most of this series' games are on the computer, and there is 2 games from the series on Xbox. The games on Xbox are The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. this series has a lot of followers, but not as much as the next ones on the list.

3:     Number 3 on my list is the Mass Effect series. Mass Effect is made by BioWare. Mass Effect also has 2 games for Xbox, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. The mass effect series has a huge, almost cult-like following, but it's following pales in comparison to the next series in my list.

2:     Number 2 in my list is the Halo series. Halo is made by Bungie and they have 5 games in the series, all of which are available for Xbox. The games that have been released in the series are Halo: 1, 2, 3, ODST and Reach. Reach is the last game in the truly historic series that was, and still is, loved and played by millions.

1:     Number 1 in my list is the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty is made by 2 divisions of Activision, Infinity ward and Treyarch, Infinity Ward making the even number games, and Treyarch making the odd numbered ones. Activision has released 7 games in the series, Call of duty: 1, 2, 3, 4 Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops. I cant think of a single person who has played a game in this series and not enjoyed it. Despite a recent lawsuit involving the 2 divisions of Activision, there is still hit games coming out of the series.

Changes in video games console over time.

The changes of video games over time is a very big time line. The first video game system ever invented was in 1977 this was the Magnovax Odyssey, this console did not play discs like the ones today do. This played cartridges that had old arcade style games on it.

The Odyssey led to the next best thing the Atari. The Atari was established in 1984 this game was a little more advanced then the Odyssey but it is basic same game play but with more games. this system was also the first to introduce the digital motion games such as PAC-man and Pinball.

The next game console on the list would be the Nintendo, the Nintendo was established in 1989. This was the first to introduce animated games like the smash hit Mario and Kerby.

Lets go on down the list to the Nintendo64, the Nintendo64 was established in 1996. This system stomped them all with the new controller design and the better graphics the games were far more sophisticated then older systems games. This console was the first console to put a memory unit inside the console so you did not have to start all over every time you wanted to play a game.

After the Nintendo64 came the PlayStation, this was thought of in 1994 but they did not introduce it until 1997.This was truly the system of its time this console had brought the idea of using discs to put the games on instead of a cartridge. it also brought better graphics and game play.

Lets just follow the PlayStation saga with the PlayStation2, this console was introduced in 1999. This was not much different than the PlayStation except better graphics and a ton of games. Did you know that the the first PlayStation2 game was made in 1999 and they are still making PlayStation2 games today?

Still following the PlayStation saga we come to one of the best consoles of all time. The PlayStation3, the PlayStation3 was introduced in 2007 this was possible one of the most bought system in 2007. It has a hardrive in it that can hold up to 120GB, has the capability to play blue ray Dvds, could play online with other people and has HD graphics.

PlayStation saga to the hottest game console ever made the Xbox saga. Lets start with the Xbox, this was introduced in 2002. This console was a big hit, it had great graphics its just a all around good system.

Now to the Mac-Daddy of all the console the Xbox360 in 2005 this put all other game systems in the past. The Xbo360 has the capability to hold up to 120GB, hundreds of games made and is the biggest online gaming console. Lets just put it this way if you do not have a Xbox360 your not playing video games. so that does it for the history lesson on video game consoles.
